Privacy
Privacy policy.
What we collect, why we collect it, and what you can ask us to do with it.
Who we are
DTF Studio is a Direct to Film print studio in Highland Park, Auckland. For any privacy question, email us.
What we collect
When you ask for a quote by email, or message us on Instagram or Facebook, we receive what you send: your name, contact details, order details and artwork.
The quote form on this site doesn't send or store anything. It only prepares an email in your own mail app, and nothing reaches us until you send it.
When you browse this site, Google Analytics records how it's used: pages visited, approximate location, device and browser, and how you found us. It uses cookies to do this. We see totals and trends, not who you are.
Why we use it
To reply to you, quote, print and deliver your order, and keep our business records. Analytics shows us which pages help visitors, so we can improve the site. We don't sell your information.
Who else sees it
Google runs Google Analytics and may process that data outside New Zealand. Messages sent on Instagram or Facebook are also handled by Meta under its own privacy policy. Our email and accounting providers store your messages and order records for us. If we deliver your order, the courier receives your delivery details.
How long we keep it
Quote emails are deleted once your order is complete. The order record is kept in our accounting system for as long as New Zealand tax law requires (currently seven years). Google Analytics data is deleted after 14 months.
Turning off analytics
If your browser sends a Do Not Track or Global Privacy Control signal, this site doesn't load Google Analytics at all. You can also block or clear cookies in your browser settings.
Your rights
Under the Privacy Act 2020 you can ask for a copy of the personal information we hold about you, and ask us to correct it. Just email us, and we'll respond within 20 working days.
If you're not happy with how we've handled your information, you can complain to the Office of the Privacy Commissioner.
Changes
If we change how we handle your information, we'll update this page.
